This weekend saw the Alsace Cup & Basel Prize tournament take place, a competition with an original and friendly format. Unlike traditional stroke play tournaments, this one was played as a stableford match play, a format that evens out the playing field and gives everyone a real chance to win.
From the first round, everything went perfectly: an almost perfect card with six birdies and only two bogeys, giving me a superb score of -4 in difficult conditions. This round gave me a lot of confidence and allowed me to qualify for the final round on Sunday.
The semi-final started in cold, windy and rainy conditions. Despite this, I took the lead by winning the first four holes, which gave me a comfortable advantage. I won on the 16th hole, securing my place in the final.
Barely 30 minutes later, the final began. Thanks to my excellent physical condition, I was able to stay focused and consistent throughout the match. I finally won on the 14th hole, securing my third victory of the season!
