Two difficult weeks, but full of lessons

High-level sport is full of ups and downs. Even when the work is there, results do not always match the effort put in. The past two weeks have been a perfect illustration of that.

With two tournaments played within eight days – the first at Europa Park in Germany, followed by the second at Bonmont in Switzerland – my streak of made cuts this season unfortunately came to an end. For the first time this year, I finished two consecutive tournaments without making it to the weekend rounds.

In Germany, a first round well below my expectations put me in a difficult position. However, I managed to respond the very next day by improving my score by eleven shots. A strong display of resilience, even though this comeback was ultimately not enough to make the cut.

At Bonmont, the feeling was different. My level of play was overall solid over both days, but a few putts that could have gone in the right direction ultimately made the difference. I missed the cut by just one shot, a frustrating outcome when you know that a matter of inches can change the result of a tournament.

These two weeks do not call into question the work done since the start of the season. They simply serve as a reminder of how demanding golf is, where every detail matters and where success can sometimes come down to very little.

The priority now is to recover and take care of my shoulder, which has been bothering me for several weeks. This short break will be an opportunity to treat this pain and regain full freshness before returning to competition in two weeks in the Netherlands.

A new stage of the season is coming, with the desire to come back stronger and turn the work done into results.
