The season has finally begun!
Over the past eight days, I was in Turkey to take part in the opening events of the Pro Golf Tour season at the beautiful Lykia Links Golf Club.
The first round did not start under the best circumstances. After an unlucky draw, I teed off in the toughest weather conditions of the day: strong winds and temperatures barely above 0°C. A difficult opening round left me quite far from the cut line.
This meant that a very strong performance was required the following day to earn a spot in the third round… and I did it!
A great round of -3 allowed me to make the cut right on the line. It was a huge personal satisfaction to see that my game responded well right at the start of the season — a very encouraging sign for what lies ahead.
I eventually finished the tournament in 34th place, earning my first valuable points of the season.
Unfortunately, the second tournament did not bring the same success. My long game remained very solid, but the putter did not cooperate and I missed the cut by just one shot. Of course, that is frustrating, but I learned a lot from this week and my game is showing very positive signs of progress.
I am now looking forward to the next events and to building on these promising feelings.
Next stop: Egypt!
