Week 7/7

The Mémorial Olivier Barras in Crans-Montana brought to an end an especially demanding stretch of seven consecutive weeks of competition. After this true golfing marathon, I finished in 25th place, satisfied to have remained competitive right through to the end despite the accumulated fatigue.

The week had started perfectly with a victory in the Pro-Am thanks to a superb round of -7. That performance gave me every reason to be optimistic, particularly in the race for a wild card into the Omega European Masters. Unfortunately, an opening round of +3 the following day quickly put that objective out of reach.

The second day proved to be just as challenging. Thunderstorms delayed the start by more than two hours, making the playing conditions particularly difficult. Despite that, I managed to post one of the best scores of the afternoon, squeezing through the cut and giving myself another opportunity for the weekend.

The final round unfolded in the best possible way with a solid -2. That last push allowed me to climb around 30 places on the leaderboard and bring this long run of tournaments to a very positive conclusion.

It is now time to recover and recharge before returning to the Pro Golf Tour on July 21. This break will be invaluable in helping me come back with fresh energy for the second half of the season.
